The pic is a bit distorted but it looks like an MG Magnette ZA about 1955.

Lancia Aurelia?

I think Aurelia too; headlights are wrong for a ZA, and the back axle looks too far back. Aurelias were rare in the UK but there were (and are) enthusiasts for old Lancias.

It is a Lancia Aurelia , Though the picture is very small ,I'd go for a Series 2 ( B12) of 1954/55 , since Lancia England Limited -Lancia Works- Alperton Wembley Middx. had increased promotional impact when the full Lancia range Aurelia , Gran Turismo and as last the Appia became available in Great Britain by 1954.They also featured a stand at the Earl's Court Motor Show of 1954.The B 12 V6 engine of 2.3 liter was somewhat more powerfull with 85 hp

I would say it's a 1a serie car, since the 1954 [B12] 2a serie had a different front lightning equipment with integrated fog lights and horizontally placed indicators turning to side of the front wings.
By what is possible to see ( and since it doesn't seem to have semaphores in the front wings ) I think it seems to be a 1951 [B21] or a 1953 ( introduced in October 1952 ) [B22]. Although there also was the 1750cc [B10], I suppose this less powerful version was more aimed to the Italian market.

At one time the UK was the main export market for Lancias, which were built with RHD as standard until the 1950s.

I think made it easier to drive along mountain roads in Italy.

Two weeks ago I saw a UK-licensed Lancia Ardea in northern France :)
