Like these? /vehicles.php?resultsStyle=asImages&yearFrom=&yearTo=&makeMatch=2&make=Ford&modelMatch=1&model=L-8000&modelInclModel=on&modelInclChassis=on&mk=&origin=&madein=&madefor=&role= Maybe Elmer can clean them up? There aren't any model years on those for the most part. I know some were badged L-8000 but I thought Elmer said tandem models carried a different model name? I'll label as Ford L-8000 for now and hope Elmer sees this and comments. |

Short hood, so an LN-Series. mike962's thumb can't help to see if it has a tandem rear axle ((LNT-Series, in such a case, as short hood tandem), so let's keep it as LN-8000, due to what seems to say the hood side badge. I don't know any other detail than the grille to identify a model year range, so I can't say more than a 1970-95 model. @dhill_cb7: I tried to "clean" the page you linked, for now half of the page has been checked. Some trucks were from the LN-/LNT-Series, some others from the LS-Series while several others had no reason to be identified as L-8000, their hood side badge being absent or not readable. When possible, I added the generic model year (1970-84, 1985-87 or 1988-95). I'll continue the next time I connect to the IMCDb, and will check the L-9000 too. For the record, L-8000 and other equivalent badges are used whatever specific series it is (standard L-/LT-Series, short hooded LN-/LNT-Series or ste-back front axle LS-/LTS-Series): the one in the main picture is a perfect example of this. |
