La bourgeoisie française de l' époque roulait beaucoup en grosses américaines...ici la voiture de l' amant de Marie José Nat (la fille de M.Neveux = Jean Gabin) |

Sorry if I am easily blind when looking at differences between american cars, and often feel quite lazy to find out the good answer... there are so many Excellent Experts here! ...but in this case I had extenuating circumstances because we see this car (I took for a Cadillac! ) in a first scene as a the vehicle of the sport manager of Monsieur Neveux 's son (a cyclist champion) ...and then again as the car of the lover of his sister, who is an other character in the film! So they used the same car for 2 different characters, ...that explain certainly why we don't have a very ggod view of it in the first scene!...they had thought nobody would see the subterfuge!!!...but it was no reckoning on wise eyes of Maitre Pilou! I have cancelled the other picture, then |
