I think it's a Lancia Flavia Vignale. http://www.lancia-historie.de/images/Schwetzingen_2006/HighRes/imm1016_18.jpg -- Last edit: 2007-10-06 09:07:16 |

Well done Chris40 ... I agree, rather a Flavia 1800 Convertible 1964-67, than a former 1500 , launched in 1963 but very few produced (724 cars) |

Should get same name as /vehicle.php?id=17490 I guess (so I renamed it in the same way) |

The change from 1800 Convertible to Convertibile 1.8 was done by me. I didn't write a comment because I thought it was just a question of reorganisation without a real change of the identification. Nevertheless, if you think it's better to leave a comment even in these cases, I'll do it in the future. In fact, the model is a Flavia Convertibile and the engine capacity can only be known by a 1.8 ( and not 1800 ) badge on the rear. This badge distinguishes it from the 1500cc car that doesn't have an engine capacity badge. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/2068/vignale_lancia.htm#Flavia http://www.lanciaflavia.it/varie/model_index.php |

Different sources gives different results... never mind. By the way, Vignale's name isn't used in the commercial designation (as Pininfarina for the Coupé), so it shouldn't be in the name |

Other members' comments about the model also include the Vignale name and it was already included as extra info in some of the existant cars. I tried to follow a pattern to all of them. Actually, the Flavia Convertibile ( a Michelotti design ) was built by Vignale in the Grugliasco factory. It was the last Lancia built by Vignale after a relatively long line of models. About the Flavia Coupé, I can't see no harm in adding the Pininfarina name in the extra info field ( like in the Convertibile ). I think this kind of data is always useful in order to provide a more accurate information. ![]() |
