i think it is a delicate Hess & Eisenhardt US conversion of 1986/87 or like it is called here a pre-Hess conversion ? Link to "www.motor-talk.de" https://free-classifieds-usa.com/vehicles/sports-cars/1987-jaguar-xjs_i73501 https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-jaguar-xjs-5/ interior like this Coupé and it still has the triangular window , Link to "tenwheel.com" there seems to be something like a type badge on A-pillar recognizable? Almost looks like Eisenhardt & Hess written on it ? while a factory built wouldn't have such a quaterlight (Karmann Osnabrück made prototype) Feb 1988 XJ-S MK2 5.3 V12 Convertible Link to "assets.catawiki.nl" 5.3 V12 i think you can see on her face... edit: found E&H badge on A-pillar here https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-jaguar-xjs-5/ the clue is normal position is in the window, but here it is folded backwards, so we see the lettering upside down. If it would be in its right position, we couldn#t read it at all! -- Last edit: 2019-10-02 01:13:08 |

Looks like this one may be for sale: https://barnfinds.com/former-movie-star-1988-jaguar-xj-s-convertible/ If this is indeed the same car, the BarnFinds listing has it as a 1988 though. |
