It seems not a federally mandate side marker on the fender; too high. Is this a locally requirement side marker? |

If you're talking about what I think you are,it's a small fender mounted,rear facing turn signal lamp.(I call them "fender guides")It was a feature of many 1960s-90's Chrysler Corp cars,as well as some same era Buicks,Cadillacs and '60s Thunderbirds to name a few? It's meant to be a second set of turn indicators to be seen from inside the car.Actually,a neat & handy thing...I added them to a Pickup I own,(I wired mine reversed to the side marker so they don't stay lit with the Headlights on,makes them "alternate flash" to the marker when turn indicators are on)I got mine at the 'yard ($1.00!)off a '75-ish Chrysler?? |

The hood ornament looks like Plymouth to me - must be a Volare ! |
