No rear side windows, so probably very early 948 cc BMC A-Series (with an optional Shorrock supercharger?) or Coventry Climax 1098 cc, before it became 1500/1600 GT (MGA engines) or final 1800 GT (MGB bits). Built in Wales at Llantwit Fardre, Pontypridd.

Nice find - Gilbern GT. No rear side windows, so probably very early 948 cc BMC A-Series (with an optional Shorrock supercharger?) or Coventry Climax 1098 cc, before it became 1500/1600 GT (MGA engines) or final 1800 GT (MGB bits). Built in Wales at Llantwit Fardre, Pontypridd.
