Has the 1989 face, but appears to be a 1/2 ton pickup.  In the U.S. and Canada we only got the Suburban, full-size Blazer and R/V 3500 truck with this front end, as the 1/2 ton and most 2500 series pickups had moved to the [GMT400] platform. No, it appears these were factory offered in Mexico and a handful of other countries likely as a lower-cost option to their [GMT400] counterparts.
