mauriceoxford ◊ 2019-09-09 18:29	This is a 12 Series 3 - DVLA results for CUY899 Vehicle make:MORRIS Date of first registration:January 1939 Cylinder capacity (cc):1479 cc The 12 had the 1.5 engine, and the 14 had the bonnet vents in 3 distinct banks on the bonnet sides - the 12 had one long, straked vent section, as you can see on the 5th thumb above. Let's hope CUY899 is safe, tucked up in a garage somewhere!
johnfromstaffs ◊ 2019-09-09 21:39	The Fourteen did not have a boot bustle, as far as I can see, and was allied to the earlier Series 11 cars, whereas the Twelve did not really fit in anywhere. My books say that the Twelve Series 111 used the 1548cc ohv four from the Wolseley Series 11 and 111 12/48 models. The Fourteen used an 1818cc Six in sv form changing to ohv in the Series 111 cars. My original identification was based upon only the main picture, the thumb showing the boot, and the strakes on the bonnet came later, and, as you can see, the strakes are mysteriously invisible, to my I-pad at any rate in the main.
