I think this is the front: -- Last edit: 2019-08-22 20:26:09 |

If that is the front, the car is a Wolseley Eight. Not sure if there were any prewar ones, but certainly 1946-9. |

Here is my straw man for the experts to set alight: - This car is a 1939-48 Morris Eight, with a Wolseley radiator grille. The Wolseley had separate headlights mounted either side of the grille, and little sidelights atop the front wings. The Morris had bugeyed head/sidelight units mounted in the wings, I think you can see the shadows of their recesses. |

Right, here goes another straw man:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolseley_Ten https://www.swva.co.uk/classic-car/morris-8-series-e-1939/ The main pic and thumb 1 are Morris Eight Series E four door cars, no doubt in my mind.....unless it's a Wolseley. Thumb 2, I have previously identified this car as a Wolseley Ten, and as a Morris Eight series E and am now faced with a problem. It might be either, and it might also be a Wolseley Eight from what can be seen, so basically, I am scuppered. Any help gratefully accepted! -- Last edit: 2019-08-23 09:43:10 |

I think the 2nd thumb goes with this one: /vehicle.php?id=1291242 It matches the link that dsl added to the other movie that uses the same scene |

Except that the two designs of car are not the same. Look at the position of the door handles, the Eight bodyshell has the doors hung from the centre pillar, the Wolseley Ten has both doors hung from the back, so both door handles are at the front of the doors on a Wolseley Ten, whereas on both models of Eight they are at the front of the front door and the back of the back door. /vehicle.php?id=1291242 is definitely an Eight, and probably a Wolseley thus correcting my previous error. -- Last edit: 2019-08-23 09:45:37 |
