Nice to see an early Saab Model 92 in period setting.Production of the 92 started in 1950 so this one would be a 1950 or 1951 car with the movie dating from 1952.These early Saabs were powered by the two cylinder two stroke engine of 764 cc developing 25 hp of DKW design. |

Full scale production actually started in December 1949. Interestingly it also had a transverse engine predating the Mini by ten years. It also had a drag coefficient of only 0.30 (the same as Porsche 996 and better than Ferrari F40). |
