The blue California license plate actually reads 978 IJZ. The car actually has the same slotted mags as Starsky's Candy Apple Red and White 1976 Ford Gran Torino.

But there is no such thing as a 1978 datsun 260z in america, the 260z was only made in 1974 in america, and it is a obviously in america.Also, those are not the same slotted mags as on starsky's gran torino because those are actually the stock rims that nissan put on those cars until the 280z, and they are a four lug pattern. The gran torino requires five lug pattern rims.
