dsl a écrit Oxford Traveller is unusual, particularly outside UK and especially if this is US scene. The A55 Cambridge would also be rare in US.

johnfromstaffs a écrit That Oxford Traveller is even more unusual in being a Series III, very few of which were made as it was only in production for a short time before being superseded in August 1957 by the Series IV “All-Steel” Model.

Looking again there's a lot of US stuff - maybe over half of what's recognisable?? But the Oxford and A55 also have UK and European friends - MGA, Mini, Minx S3 or thereabouts, maybe a Victor F further back, an Aronde, P403 etc. So where is the location?? Can anyone read the hoarding above building on right?

Fairbanks Morse (a Chicago-based manufacturing company; made pumps, engines etc)

However, I'm pretty certain this particular building (former "Canadian Fairbanks Morse Co") is located in:

980-990 Saint-Antoine Street West / Sainte-Cécile, Montréal
Quebec, Canada

Obviously the building was renovated and modernised at some point in its life, but the architecture looks pretty much the same.

I'm amazed that over the years, this is the only building (apart from that square building in the background) in this picture that hasn't been demolished and replaced by more modern buildings; there is basically a skyscraper at every corner right now :)

There's also a Dauphine in left edge, further back so a good mix of stuff - 5 Brits, 3 French and umpteen US/CDN.

and they even find place to put some more.. its about like they bury a Lego brick and add some water...... ( currently happens in my city too , aside of my local Walmart it looks like there is a new building every day )

A couple Canada-only models also visible: 1956 Dodge (Regent or Mayfair) hardtop (Dodge front on Plymouth body w/Belvedere trim), and a 1956 Meteor Niagara sedan.

dsl, the F Series Victor was sold in Canada as an Envoy. The FB was similarly badged but maybe this clip is earlier than the model’s introduction....

Seems you were aware of this a bit back! /vehicle_926170-Envoy-Standard-F-1960.html
