Side indicators with Leyland wing badge and shiny wheel trim rings seem about 1973 from our collection. |

Side indicators appear from 1970, the small BL badges from 1971 to 1975 (but also frequently missing or removed). A smaller plain rectangular grille badge was used from about 1973, it has I believe a diagonal script Austin grille badge so should be 1971-1972 as my best guess for this taxi but should be close I think as car is very recent to filming date. Trying to work out what the chromed disc is below the door handles, a secondary lock perhaps? Getting my eyes tested tomorrow perhaps that will help. -- Last edit: 2019-05-29 12:17:11 |

^ The 'chromed disc' could be two separate door edge protectors mounted on the shut-line perhaps? Don't know if I remember them right but in the 1960s they could have been sold as white rubber triangular mouldings with red reflectors at the trailing edge? |
