Looks like a long bonnet Bedford M to me , strange van bodywork, maybe BRS on doors ?

Austin Loadstar on left also worth a pic of its own IMHO.

It could be a Bedford but it does not have the O-type wheels or lower headlamp position.

Without more being seen a late (probably 1938) Bedford WTL 3-tonner long wheelbase but would need to see the radiator to be certain.

I was just about to post a similar comment when I spotted yours. It looks to be higher ground clearance than normal, but not a 4wd front axle. Oversized wheels?

Bev coffee and chicory essence! Yuch! As disgusting as Camp coffee and even worse than Watney’s Red Barrel.

This film dated 1956. There’s also a BRS logo on the Guy, were we still under the cloak of nationalisation of general transport then?

The long-haul business was gradually opened up from about 1951 and BRS were selling off a lot of their fleet by 1955.

The Guy (on the right) looks to have the Road Haulage Association logo.

The Austin Loadstar has higher than normal suspension I think and not oversized tyres or wheels it also has the added slots in the bonnet seen later on both civilian and military trucks.

PGC 92 = London, June - Nov 1954.

Another Austin Loadstar with higher than normal suspension here therefore possibly an option, particularly on a tipper?
