Really?? Why didn't they use a funeral steamroller or bulldozer instead? #WTF What else could this be? |

I was thinking: firetruck or funeral. I've been choose funeral because of: - There is no sign of fire equipment. And it circulated around slowly, stopped and waited for something. - One of main characters, literally hanging on life's edge, looked at this thing long time, with the fear in his eyes. We can see his point of view. -- Last edit: 2019-05-20 16:46:25 |

Unlike taxis, hearses normally don't circulate around, looking for passengers - at least not where I come from. Could it be a firetruck with the jumping-sheet and - hopefully - a few people to hold it? Or a prisoner van? (Assuming the dude hanging around has got a solid reason for doing that...) |

Two potential passengers were hanging from monumental tower. |

I'd say it isn't black. Maybe it was furniture van just, however scared character thought funeral coach? |

Possibly like "OMG, I'm busy dangling from the tower - Pleeeeeease don't let them bring me furniture now!!!" I think it's a firetruck (LF8?? Isn't that a front-mounted pump?) and this looks like a special @andrepa case to me. |

Maybe ladders and hoses had not been invented in those days?? I'd guess really scary secret police prisoner van for big cheese VIPs and spies who are being sent down to deep dungeons or stalags for the rest of their lives, and has lots of bells and whistles to look sinister so that Joe Peasant knows something Big and Terrifying is happening. |

On the first thumbnail you can see the waterpump with the hose fittings, mounted in the middle of the front. |
