Looks Italian... OM ?

can be also a OM, Iveco OM or a UNIC-FIAT

Not Iveco, because wasn't a make in this time. If this thing /vehicle_122980-Unic-unknown.html was marketed in Germany as Fiat (like Ingo has wrote) the truck from the pic is rather Fiat too (it is the same serie of vehicles) - ok maybe OM, but for sure not both - 'Fiat OM'.
Btw. Maybe it is indeed not bad idea to list cars as 'FIAT' instead of 'Fiat'.

Maybe, but then this has to be done for all or none, not just one from time to time :p
Do I have to rename the others? (few comments from other admins?)

Yes of course, I left this one like it was listed - one less to rename. ;)

We had already some discussion about this... for me there is no pb, as for instance I do not see any difference between FIAT case and SAAB case... So if Saab is SAAB why Fiat wouldn't be written FIAT? ... Now, I don't care and it's not so important :)

For me it's OK, though personally I tend to write Fiat, Saab, Daf etc. since they can be pronounced as a word, whereas DKW, BMW, AMC etc. have to be written in capitals... I wonder if the FIAT-people themselves wanted it to be an abbreviation (Fabbrica Italiana degli Automobili Torino) or would have prferred it to be a word (they sponsored a huge monument on a mountain just outside Turin, with the text: "FIAT LUX ET LUX NOVA FACTA EST" (there be light and new light there was)... btw Alfa Romeo started as ALFA (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili)...

I don't care too.

I agree.
To be homogenious let's think how should be written some other makes:

Seat==> SEAT
Simca ==> SIMCA
Saviem ===> SAVIEM
Iveco ==> IVECO
Facel Véga ==> FACEL Véga
Alfa Roméo ==> ALFA Romeo
..etc...

Don't you feel it looking quite odd? :think:

Odd a bit, but less odd than situation when we have some makes listed with capitals some others not. Well personally for me it is also not especially big problem, but perhaps would be better to be consequent.

On Alfa Romeo documents they write it all lower case (except first letters :D).
SAAB always write it uppercase.
smart always write it all lowercase.
Mini for the old ones, MINI for the new ones.
"As the name is written by the company" was the rule that we used. Not especially if it is an acronym.
This may also change depending on the year, which would be annoying.
For example of acronym used as a normal name, in texts Simca was not written in uppercase, they used it like a normal name. Cf http://www.owdjim.gen.nz/chris/simca/SIMCA6.JPG or http://www.earth.northwestern.edu/people/emile/Simca.jpg
I do not know for Fiat, but they seem to also use the lowercase version in many documents...

J' avais un prof qui disait que le must pour quelqu' un qui devenait illustre, était de perdre la majuscule à son nom, en parlant par exemple de Newton et l' unité de mesure : le newton/mètre :D

The Fiat acronym is is written in small letters, as a reference to the Latin word (fiat = let there be).
