Split screen (3rd thumb, slight hint in main) suggests pre-WW2. Pre-war bustle suggests Sports Saloon body (Mulliners) - https://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/HUMBER%201938.html , https://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/HUMBER%201939.html , https://www.humber.org.uk/NewGallery.htm (scroll down for 2 examples), - but those seem to have single pane windscreens. |

The ventilator panels on the side of the scuttle are suggestive of pre-war. But the boot looks post-war so possibly two different cars used without much attention to continuity... |

If reg is genuine, maybe a war-time hybrid of pre/post war bits?? Did bustle arrive very late 39 for the unveiled 1940 range, of which some were made before the shutdown (or am I dreaming that I've read this somewhere)?? |

^ Found the source I was thinking of. Humber announced their 1940 range in Dec 39 with lots of optimistic hype about sales prospects. Full selection of lines from Sixteen, through lots of Snipes and Super Snipes up to Pullman limo. All models got front and rear changes, including new large lift-up boot, and Super Snipe and Sports Saloon models lost their running boards. No flying bird mascot so maybe Sixteen?? |
