i don't know the exact term of that association but Daimler were "very" similar to Jag ( i think Jag owned Daimler for a while ) |

Jaguar bought Daimler for £3.4 million in 1960 and have owned it ever since, although hasn't used the badge since 2008 and has lost the trademark in some countries eg US. Some German firm seems to have most of the rights now. This is either a Daimler with Jag lights or a Jag with a Daimler grille. As there are no fogs, my guess is Jag with the wrong grille (cue standing joke about Leyland quality control in the 1980s ....), although some of our early Daimlers don't have fogs and we have a couple of other Daimlers with these lights. That said, I still vote early XJ6 as the most likely. |
