This should be a 1961 or later. Introduced autumn 1960 as a 61 model.

I´ve noticed that it´s very common in german literature to just write the year of introduction or change for a model instead of the more commonly used modelyear. It can be somewhat confusing, and both are in ways correct. But I think it´s better to use the modelyear since it´s the way they are known for the public.

In Germany it is not as common as in the US to label a car with a model year. Cars are introduced into the market when they are ready/avaiable and very often stay unchanged for a number of years. Therefore I always use the actual year when a car was first produced. In literature very often the months of introduction to and withdrawal from the market are given.

You're right the new 190 was in april 61, so it could be a model 61, but in litterature it's given as model 62 (model year)...so let's use the model year, as most common
