A Ford F-100 built 1957-60. It could be the F-250 version. I don't know if they look different. |

Hi, Alexander. This is a F-100, about the years you said, the movie is from 1960. At that time, at least in Brazil, there were no F-250 avaiable. Only the F-350, which were much larger trucks. That car is almost sure from 57, because in 58, Ford do Brasil has started the production here, offerring a quite complete line, F-100, F-350 and F-600, all gasoline powered (292 cubic inches engine). When similar cars were produced, importation was immediately forbidden, but this is a Police Car and exceptions could be made for government cars. The model in the film was made in USA, as that body was never produced here (the production here was based on the 54 Model and in 1960, it was changed to 56 Model); and you can find a chrommed name plate under the side window line, Custom Cab, or something like. Look in this photograph, under the policeman arm. All the best, Bob Dieck |

Because the angle is oblique, I can not see the grille very well, but I can tell that the truck has dual headlights, so I think that it is a US made 1958 or 59 model. |
