Pick'n'mix. It's not compulsory to vote for the Cortina 1600E in left edge or the Avenger Estate, or even the Dolomite Sprint ....

Do we have 1972 or later SAAB 96?

Porridge, just grey porridge. But there’s a rather fine crane at the back...

The most uncommon thing here is Lada 1500 S [2103].

An Opel Manta B is also not too mundane for GB

Opels were sold in U.K. around this time, one of my friends had an Ascona. Ladas practically covered the country because they were so cheap, I had one which had been a taxi in Aberdeen, bought at the auctions for £140 to give me transport while my Cortina MkV Estate was mended after an accident.

So it’s still porridge.

There’s probably a Marina in there somewhere.

Agreed the crane is the most interesting and a major part of the picture.

Would the 1974+ SAAB 96 be worth mentioned?

Yes it was mentioned in the second comment.

Renault 5 isn't too bad, looks like rare TX.

A 1974 Porridge would have a new grille and badge - I can't really see if it is the darker grille with a horizontal chrome line, or a 1972 Porridge where the headlight bezel would appear brighter than the ribs in between. At least 1972 for the overriders anyway

Is Porridge popular in Sweden at all?

Probably not to the pizza or taco generations living now, but it has fed generations before

So did the 96 - well it took people wherever they wanted to go, so they could eat their porridge :p

jfs may lough, but my wife and me had a slightly similar situation at our first -and only- hotel breakfast in Fort William.
My wife fluted "Let's enjoy our first real Scottish breakfast!" but I have seen, how behind her the porridge was served, so I warned her "No! Don't do that! Let us go to the Supermarket for breakfast!"
She became a bit angry about me - but after her breakfast was served, she understood :D
At our following dozen Scotland-trips, we never did it again - eating hotel breakfast.
And the Lidl in Fort William is recommended. Not only for prices and choice, also for parking, when you make a trip with the Hogwarts Express
/vehicle_2123-Ford-Anglia-105E-1962.html
Because around the railway station are only a few parking lots and with parking meters, and the parking of the Morrison's between the station and the Lidl has a gate, which will be closed at 10PM IIRC.

So it was breakfast for two, and not dinner for one.

That's nice. We dropped our roughly envisaged Scotland vacation plans. Due the Brexit-uncertainty -we would travel with our doggie- and the inconvience to travel with a doggie by ferry to UK. On the DFDS-line Ijmuiden-Newcastle there are only four of five cabins, where you can take pets. Otherwise the pets have to stay the 18 hours in the vehicle. This is inacceptable.
And going to Scotland via Calais-Dover across whole England is out of question.

A propos parking in Fort William: take the LIDL-parking besides the line of the Hogwarts Express. It's free and there's no -not as at the Morrison's parking next- gate, which may be closed in the late afternoon.

P.S.as a souvenier from our Beaulieu/Dorset-trip last September I still kept the yellow "PET" sticker (6th photo http://www.from-nellys-paradise.de/Jango-auf-der-Cruft-2018 in the Vectra's windscreen :)
