This bus has a "low-height" upper-deck with side gangway as can be seen from the roof for the lower deck.

The large emblem on the top of the radiator reminds me of a Dennis

1932 Leyland Titan TD1 with Eastern Coachworks lowbridge body new to Glasgow Corporation but carrying Keighley-West Yorkshire livery ex Keighley-West Yorkshire K451 (JUB29).

However DVLA has the year of manufacture and registration as 1944?
The bus does not appear to have been taxed for road use since making the movie.

The vehicle details for (Leyland) JUB 29 are:
Date of Liability 01 10 1979
Date of First Registration 05 02 1944
Year of Manufacture 1944
Fuel Type Heavy Oil
Vehicle Colour BLACK

Is it possible that the 1944 date refers to the registration JUB 29 rather than the vehicle? If it was new to Glasgow Corporation it would originally have had a Glasgow registration, probably a LL-DDDD one. For some reason, buses are often re-registered when they change hands.

The bus is a 1928 Leyland Titan TD1 chassis with a 1932 Eastern Coachworks body. It's original registration was YG2058 I believe so you're correct about the later 1944 date relating to the JUB 29 plate rather than the bus.

The bus has been off the road since 1981 but is currently being worked on with a view to it being roadworthy again for 2011.

The bus scenes were filmed in and around Stalybridge over about 3 days. It would be nice to see it again.

Recent research has almost certainly confirmed that the bus is actually a1932 Leyland Titan TD2 which was registered new to Keighley West Yorkshire as YG2058. The JUB 29 plate which dates from 1944 was transferred to this vehicle in 1951 while in the ownership of Wallace Arnold.

It's been back on the road for the last 3 years and will be attending the 50th Trans Pennine Run in Aug 2018.
