1940 Bristol K5G/ECW.

CAP 212

Brighton, Hove and District Fleet No 6357.

Fleet no. seems a bit odd, but that’s what it says in the records.

I have re-checked, and there are quite a number of buses in the B,H & D fleet with similar numbers. Presumably some accountant gone doolally.

Fleet numbers all started in the 6000 series. I would think this was because BH&D was at the time a subsidiary of Thomas Tilling. CAP212 was converted to a convertible opentopper in 1955 and renumbered 357.

.....actually the complete footage shows the BH&D fleetname covered over. By the time it was filmed CAP212 was out of use with BH&D.
