Info from the owner of the car:

Alan.D wrote Hi I do hope this post is acceptable to the site organisors.

Basically I currently own a Fiat Panda that was used on the set of EastEnders, 2 Pints of lager and a packet of crisps and was used in the 2004 McDonalds christmas TV advert. I bought the car from millers action vehicles in London after I spoted it when the wife was watching EastEnders.

Another of the interesting points of this car is that on the 31st of Aug 2007 it will be driven by the Chief Pilot of the Pride of Cumbria Air Ambulance who is racing it against the Orient Express from Paris to Istanbul along with 3 other Fiat Panda's to raise money for the Air Ambulance. Full details can be found at www.panda-to-istanbul.co.uk and is shown as car No3.

On returning to the UK the 1994 CLX Panda will be raffled to raise more funds for the Air Ambulance at £1 per ticket and all the provinance we have aquired via video will be passed to the winner.

After spotting the car there was a thread started on the fiat forum on how it was found and collected as well as work done to get it to the excellent condition it is now, post 108 & 123 of the following thread show some of the stills from the shows it was used in. Link to "fiatforum.com"

Finally the crew driving the car Jim Martin (Pilot) and Jon Ker (paramedic) were also both featured in a recent readers digest article ( June 07) following a tragedy on Ben Nevis where the above and a Dr were climbing. As a result of part of a rock face on which the climbers had their safety ropes attached giving way Jon Ker was able to save the life of his friend and colleague, the Dr however fell to their death.
