1925-1927 US model names were: 1925 Model 30 1926 Model 30-D 1927 Model 30-E All were Sixes. Bodystyle here is either Touring or Sport Touring. I don't know how much of that (if any) applies in Australia. |

This is a 1925 Oldsmobile tourer model 30 - 6cylinder. Owned by my family from near Melbourne Victoria Australia. Restored in 1974. Has travelled across Australia from Melb-Perth return and from Melb-Alice Springs to Mt Isa Qld return. Has disc wheels instead of wooden spokes because Dad drove it hard and used to spin the wheels a bit much... toured with the Vintage Drivers Club for 30 years. |

"Oldsmobile unveiled a new six-cylinder Model 30 in 1923 that became the mainstay of production for many years, resulting in sharply increased sales. Powered by a robust 169-cid unit rated at 41 horsepower, the Model 30 underwent gradual improvements each year and by 1926 there were both Standard and Deluxe versions of most series available. General Motors catalogued ten different body styles but in Australia the range was limited to just five, including a Tourer, Delux Tourer, Sports Roadster, Two-Door Coach and Four-Door Sedan. Of these only the Tourers and Two-Door Sedans received Holden bodywork, the remainder imported fully assembled." from another Aus example. So Holden body here?? Some more info |
