This model was called 18/22 I think.

The Woleseley version of the [ADO71], introduced in March 1975, didn't have a model name, though it was often referred to as 18-22 Series (cf www.leylandprincess.co.uk/18-22Intro.htm ).

The other one that we have is currently listed as 18/22, so we have to decide - for both - if we use or not that name.

As DynaMike says it didn't have a model name just being sold as the Wolseley saloon. The '18-22 Series' referred to the Austin, Morris and Wolseley range as a whole.

Correct model names....

Austin 1800
Austin 2200
Morris 1800
Morris 2200
Wolseley

So re-name the 'Faulty Towers' car the same as this one I think.

Is this based on the Princess then?

The other way around.....

The Princess is based on the Austin/Morris/Wolseley 18-22 series.

At the time of the re-organisation of British Leyland/BLMH (and I think the Ryder report?) the number of bands were rationalised.

It was assumed the competing brands within British Leyland were not sustainable.

I think it is JJT 343N, in which case it is the same car as the one in the Faulty Towers clip, driven by Ken Campbell. The colour is called Brazil Metallic (I have one in the same colour).
