I very much doubt this is of Yugoslavian origin. How about British http://www.classicbuses.co.uk/split.html ? The front reminds me of B.U.T, but I'm not sure. The wheel rims should point towards Britain as well. |

This is so called "Leyland Kokarus", built/bodied in Yugoslavia. 1st were delivered to Belgrade in 1963 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GSP_Belgrade Here they say it was based on Leyland Royal Tiger Worldmaster LERT chassis and body was by Ikarus (Zemun): https://www.autobusi.org/forum/index.php?topic=22569.0 On the other hand in linked above wiki article, it is named FAP-Leyland Kokarus and again in autobusi.org one comment says it was model "G50". This G-names were often used by FAP at this time - possible that chassis was also assembled in Yugoslavia by FAP and under own designation (FAP G50), but it is really hard to find anything more about it. -- Last edit: 2018-12-06 16:36:56 |
