Is there an alternative way of entering this or lone example of Sunbeam F4A? |

Why is this marked as "Seen only in preview/trailer"? It was definitely in the actual movie. And does anyone have any background information on this? Is this archive footage of the actual L&H or was it made for the movie? |

This bus is in preservation and the location is the Black Country Living Museum at Dudley, West Midlands, except that there are no overhead wires visible in the picture, which is odd, since it is a trolleybus, and the museum is so wired in parts to permit the use of the trolleybuses in their collection. Since the bus was not constructed until 1956, it is pretty certain that the subject picture is a reconstruction and is taken from the film. The Walsall Corporation staff referred to the buses as goldfish bowls. It is not a lone example, Walsall #872 is still extant and lives at Sandtoft. The Sunbeam F4/F4A were made in some numbers, but I am so far unable to find accurate records, but it seems that they were almost the only chassis availability in the later days of trolleybuses. Willowbrook was far from the only coachbuilder. -- Last edit: 2019-06-28 12:18:34 |

At the time of building of this bus, Sunbeam Trolleybuses belonged to Guy Motors, there was no connection with Rootes apart from a historical one. |
