I suspect the Jaguar XJ-S Convertible [XJ77] could have been on loan from Jaguar Browns Lane Coventry ('KV' is I believe a Coventry registration). If it was an early press demonstrator or test and development car it could have been crushed after two years rather than being sold on by Jaguar.
