The headlights of the 411 (1969+) are ovally shaped or double round lights in an oval frame, whereas those of the 412 (1973+) are double in a trapezoidal shape. Also the indicators of the 412 are bigger and placed higher. The 2- and 4-door sedans had also different rearlights: just above the bumper for the 411, just under the beltline for the 412. But the estate... On the pics I've got I get the impression that the 412 Variant had smaller lights, whereas the 411 Variant uses the same rearlight as the sedans. Therefore I'd go for a 411 Variant (1969).
