Alexander ◊ 2007-07-14 23:47	This is the Austin version of the WE type, also sold by Morris-Commercial. It was available as a 3-ton and 5-ton (1955-64). At the start Austin just named it 'Austin 3-ton'.

Sunbar ◊ 2014-03-02 14:36	There are some inconsistances in descriptions found on the web for the Austin WE 3-ton, 4-ton and 5-ton model range. The WE 3-ton, 4-ton and 5-ton models appear to be valid, although the range in brochures is indicated as 3-ton model '303', 4-ton model '403' and 5-ton model '503' and not 'S203' and 'S403'. edit correction S-prefix for below 2-tons only (for 1½-tons) and T-prefix for 2-tons presumably for single or twin wheels.
