When the camera shows this truck's interior when it shifts up, if you notice, it is the same shot they used for when the White 9000 series tow truck shifts into gear and goes after Curtis! The second time the camera goes into the interior is it's own, it shows a fan, air freshener and the dashboard. |

The interior shot of this one is correct, however. |

Poor Mack, these older Macks’ like this one, are collector trucks now… Its’ a shame it had to be destroyed. -- Last edit: 2008-04-24 01:26:41 (G-MANN) |

the movie was filmed in 85-86....Route 40 i don't think was officially opened to traffic until 1990. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO5b4p4_6a0 I also got a screen shot from the chase, of the truck taking its jump off the freeway: -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 06:07:36 |

The shade of red and how round parts of the truck are make it look like a giant apple ![]() |

I'm 100% this is not a B-61 at all, its most likely a B-65 or B-67 as it has the short hood and weirdly shaped fenders, you can also see in the interior shots that there is the added "cowling" in front of the shifter where the cab was cut to allow the moved engine to fit, No idea specifically WHICH version it was as we never see the hood in close enough detail to read the markings, and you don't really see the engine so its basically impossible to say, but for sure a B65 or B67 |

Not sure this is a B-67, they always had the chrome wing lining on the top of the grill available which this truck doesn't have. But the B-65/7s cab looked oddly small when on a 2 axle chassis. This truck certainly has that feature. -- Last edit: 2022-01-31 17:42:13 |

Nope, B-67, I re-watched the film and for a split second as the truck rams the chevy for the last time and jumps "into" the trunk you see the Hood markings and it certainly reads "B67" ![]() |

This was probably my favorite truck in this movie for some reason. I hated when they blew it up! |

Updated. We do not have too many admins knowledgeable on these older larger tractor trailer trucks so a lot of the time these go without updates unless a lot of proof is given Could definitely use someone knowledgeable posting more regularly ![]() |
