zodiac ◊ 2018-05-27 11:33	I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the lower and wider grille was introduced as of the MODEL YEAR 1970 (that is late 1969) rather than the YEAR 1969 (that is late 1968), when the 3.5 litre V8 was introduced. Production numbers http://www.heckflosse.nl/prodccv.htm argues that way, anyhow. If so I believe this is very likely (very few exeptions) a 1970-71 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE 3.5 Convertible, rather than a 280 SE Convertible. Very expensive then, but much more so these days...
