Many Cheerokes in Poland came directly from US market by private import.

OK. I suppose to the near plant of Graz its more easy.

Yes, more easy but not cheaper. :sun:

Many agencies in Poland import brand new American and luxury European (!) cars directly from US on demand because American prices are 30-50 % lower sometimes than in Europe.

Incredible :wow:
I guess the prices are lower. But, this Jeep's are a 2º hand or newers?

New or used, it doesn't matter. :D However the import of used cars from US is much popular than new cars.

Not very similar to the case of Peru, Bolivia (north of México) and other countries in South America. Have free import of second hand cars and worse, usually tend to be junk because they do not have a local industry.

American prices are 30 % lower sometimes than in Europe.[/quote]

I've seen similar figures quoted before - raises a few questions for eg European makers and car buyers:
- are European buyers subsidising US prices for eg BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW, Porsche, Jaguar, Range Rover or whoever?
- do European cars sell at below cost in US?
- if so why do makers put so much effort into selling cars in US, with eg Alfa and Lancia reported as planning high investment initiatives to relaunch there in next year or so?
- if not, makers should be making huge profits - 30+% above cost price on each car sold in Europe? in such circumstances how did they convince governments to subsidise scrappage schemes?

Do similar scenarios apply for Japanese or other Far East pricing in US versus domestic comparisons?

There is many reasons - weak dollar-to-euro rate (it's "bedrock" of prices' differences), the assembling in US, lower quallity of interior's materials, etc. etc.

Example of Polish agency importing cars from US.
