Yep, a Nash Rambler Custom Wagon, probably 1951 or 1952. |

The Biscayne badge in front of the driver's door on the Chevrolet has disappeared, possibly as a result if interlacing on the DVD. In prior and post frames in this scene evidence of a word exists in front of the driver's door, but not in this freezeframe. Note that the badge has reappeared here ... /vehicle.php?id=112845 This could be grounds for dispute that it is not the same Biscayne as in other scenes from the film and therefore grounds for extra clarifying shots of the same car. The movie was filmed across 2 states, Utah being where Saltair is, Lawrence (Kansas) being where the church, gas station (in the shot) and the hostel are. You see the Biscayne cross the border into Utah but that's the only confirmed shot of it going near there. Shots that are claimed to be near Saltair were actually made in Lawrence Kansas(where the bridge in the opening scene is located). The Biscayne appears on the same bridge as the 2 Chevys therby marking its home state. The shot of Saltair from inside the Biscayne looks like rear projection. Correction: There are shots of a Biscayne at Saltair. I have no way of knowing if it's the same car though. It might have been a popular rental at the time. T -- Last edit: 2007-12-25 14:01:18 |
