In this episode, Steve and Danno get to ride in a 73 Chevelle Laguna 4 door colonnade. This is a one year only car, and are EXTREMELY rare nowadays. I'm not sure how many were even produced. Some additional photos:

Indeed, it is one of the rarer model, but not the rarest one. By the way, it is model E29.

Intresting. Thanks for the info. I would love to know how many 4 door Laguna's were produced.

Rare or not it's an odd choice for a police car, wouldn't a base model Chevelle Deluxe have been more likely?

Stranger things have happened. There was even a police-package version of the Nash Metropolitan. It had right-hand drive for parking enforcement. I have seen everything from a Jaguar to a Cadillac used as marked police vehicles; both had prominent "Seized from a drug dealer" messages.
