Although the car setup was more or less definitive, those units showed some features that were cancelled for production. In particular, they featured a panoramic windshield, almost rectangular deflectors, removable side windows instead of the roll-down ones, no external door handles, differently shaped bumpers, no interior door panels (there was a simple hollow in the door sheet metal with the usual opening string) and a very simplified dashboard setup (no upholstered upper lid, no glove box and different placement for the three round dials). One of these prototypes, in light blue paint, is stored at the museum of Arese; the car starring in the movie is clearly recognizeable from this one by the front air inlets without polished frames.
