@dsl: Bonnet mascots were available en masse at the time, and cannot be used, as the only thing to be seen, to date these cars. More visible is the waist line in chrome, which goes all the way to the rear lights. That too was introduced in October 1953 (as of MY 1954) and replaced a shorter strip that covered half the distance of the front wing. Overriders was also introduced on the MY 1954 together with a flat middle section of the front bumper. Please add "Carbodies of Coventry" as Ford UK didn't have space to do the Convertibles. -- Last edit: 2018-04-29 19:05:36 |
