These JOM 1xxE Mokes were a batch for BMC publicity department, who prepared another one - 132E - for Gold Leaf Team Lotus with a 1275cc Cooper S unit and a Barton fibreglass hardtop, which famously appeared at Silverstone in April 1968 towing a works Lotus 47 racer ![]() |

^ It's a beautiful set to look at, but under-engineered so too fragile to successfully detach from the base. I got mine soon after it came out 10 years ago, but they go for squillions now. The occasion was the 20th International Daily Express Trophy meeting on 27 April 1968, which was poignant as the first Lotus appearance after Jim Clark's crash at Hockenheim 3 weeks previously, so GLTL put on a show of strength with Hill entered in the main F1 race and two 47s in support events. |

At least you know its worth money , I sold a dozen fairly recent Corgi Classic truck models few years ago , checked them out price wise on Ebay except one a Corgi JCB 3C and happily took £110 for the job lot at an autojumble. Turns out they only made a 1000 JCB 3C's and they go for about £120 each , hey ho ! -- Last edit: 2020-05-25 22:30:29 |
