1955 or 1956 model

Country Sedan or a Courier Sedan Delivery made specially for Germany as that is not an American-style tailgate

It has the 1956 Customline / Six-Passenger Country Sedan side trim. It's likely an Ambulance.

I has 4 doors,so that leaves out a Courier? The Belgians also built a lot of ambulances off American cars like this, too? And having a small, light colored licence plate also makes it maybe a Belgian plate? Or maybe a 'former' ambulance that some Soldier/Airman took over as a POV to W.Germany? (1962-65 US Forces in Germany plates were a light red that looks a bit pinkish in reflections?)

Another Rootes promo film from 1963 - just called Imp - has same footage, but commentary now says it's Italian autostrada

Plate now looks square black with white characters, so Italian format could match.

If it's Italy,it explains why I couldn't see those 100m marker sticks/refectors (Many called them 'Klick Sticks'.....10 sticks a Kilometer) seen in Germany....was thinking just angle/clarity of the picture??

Doesn't look Italian at all to me. I say the coachwork is most likely Dutch (Versteegen?) or Belgian (Van Dun?).
