Along with the Zafira and Astra, the Meriva was originally made by Pixar in 2006 as a tie-in with Opel to promote the first Cars film in Europe. The Meriva and Zafira were later reused as BG cars in Cars 2 bc of the international setting, but for some reason the artists abandoned the Astra and went through the trouble to make a Corsa instead. If the artists kept the Astra and slapped a Saturn badge on it, it would've made much more sense in the BG of the USA portions of the film than the Corsas we got. /vehicle_384751-Opel-Meriva-OPC-2006.html
