it's look like a original German-Post vihicle,
but real it is a classic collector car :)

I think older than 1966, because wheels are models 1967+

The Volkswagen Typ 147 Kleinlieferwagen, nicknamed 'Fridolin', was produced 1964-73 at 'Westfalia' (better known for camping vans, caravans and trailers). Volkswagen and Karmann provided the parts that could not be produced at the Westfalia works in Rheda-Wiedenbrück. Components from the Typ 1 (Käfer), Typ 14 (Karmann Ghia), Typ 2 (Transporter), and Typ 3 (VW 1500) were used.

More than 85% of the total of 6.139 vehicles were delivered to the German Post Office, with the Swiss Post being the second largest customer taking 1.201 slightly modified 'Fridolin'. In smaller numbers it was also used by the Lesezirkel-Service in Lippstadt or as apron area car by Lufthansa.

It is funny, as it really looks like a mix of other VW models. It is obviously visible that parts come from other cars :)

Around end of Forties'-beginning of Fifties' VW done a model almost similar, combining the rounded nose of the Beetle with a squarish loading box back with plain side panels(had seen a b/w photo on a VW Beetle'story book and if recall better was used like a military mail delivery van or something of that kind)

I make a mistake of translation when I say " older than 1966" . This model, because the wheels was built between 1967+ and the end , 1973

1947, used by the Post Office. There were similar models built before the end of the war, Typ 83 being a 4x4 chassis with box and Typ 28 a Kübelwagen with box.

I thought you meant it that way. But as it is a preserved vehicle perhaps only the wheel rims are of the newer type. I would suggest to keep the date of first production, as the wheels are interchangeable.

There might be a bench in the rear, too!
