Definitely an Ant, not sure where it could have been assembled.

Wasn't there a loose tie-up between Reliant and Autocars (Sabra)?

The best story I can knit together from various references says that the only overseas assembly was Greece by MEBEA (Mediterranean Engine Brand Enterprises Association). Reliant launched the TW9 in August 67, targetting Mediterranean countries but only really making headway in Greece with MEBEA initially ordering fully-built and then CKD from Dec 68; most Greek TW9s were TW9-B with Herald 1147cc engines instead of the usual Reliant 701cc (748cc from 1973 and 848cc in 1975). Nothing about Israel/Autocars, although strong background links with Reliant for various Reliant-designed Autocars products. TW9 only officially became Ant when BTB Equipment Sales in Lancashire started doing special body versions (road sweeper, skip loader, aluminium panel van etc) and later took over TW9 production in 1978, when all versions were renamed Ant.

No idea if any visible changes for MEBEA production (particularly the Herald engined TW9-B) or for BTB as Ant - all pictures found from 1968 onwards look the same.

It's not impossible but who knows?

Sellafield had a few pickups in the early 80's as site runarounds/stores delivery trucks, all of them had numberplates with ANT 1V.
