If you want to know all, you have to ask real hardcore-Beetle-freaks (as dealers for classic VWs or so) @tore-40: do you know more about?
tore-40 ◊ 2014-01-09 16:53	Most easily spotted are the headlights and fenders (non-US), and also the bumpers (except 1200 'Sparkäfer'), obviously. Trigger door handle vs knob, different mirror(s), vent window opener with turning knob vs push-button, bigger, different shaped taillights (1200 'Sparkäfer' kept the smaller ones) and a different, shorter engine lid and higher 'apron' are other tell-tale signs

It had the small ones, which were changed (in 1974?) to the "elephant foots".
