RM something. I can't see anything to be more precise, except it's a saloon and has the indicators in top of the wing, instead of faired-in (Oct 53+) which only affected the final year of the RMEs. So RMA/early RME/RMB/RMF all possible. There was a bumper change in Sept 51 during RMA/RMB run, but I'm not sure of before/after difference. |

Sept 51+ doubled rear bumpers. Seems to switch plates, but "1956" in 4th thumb is a red herring as the last RM was built in Dec 54. And it doesn't have the Oct 53 front wings (known as "helmet" style). So 1952-53 RME or RMF. We now have 5 HK sightings of probably the same maroon/cream HK car, despite a variety of plates and RME/RMF split: - /vehicle_1005174-Riley-11-2-litre-RME-1952.html - /vehicle_393589-Riley-11-2-litre-RME-1952.html - /vehicle_174725-Riley-21-2-Litre-RMF-1952.html - /vehicle.php?id=817680 Am lumping them together as RME (although if anyone is confident they can be block-changed to RMF easily enough). |
