Yes, first gen Alphards were JDM only. This is also the V by that grille. These first gens were sold in two different nameplates in Japan; Alphard G and Alphard V, both can be differentiated by their exterior styling. As mentioned before, this is the latter. Also, NO such of a trim called S Edition as shown on the fourth thumb, that's a badging hackjob. I believe those two badges were taken from another car but can't recognize those lettering styles, possibly from a Honda? The correct trim levels that has that sporty bodykit of this version for 2005-2007, were the AS and MS (or 2.4 AS and 3.0 V6 MS, but motors were not referred by Toyota in its official trim level naming structure), and sadly, we cannot presume which one of those trims were correct. The first thumb doesn't help us much to take a closer look of the rear. Best to blank the extra info as moot point. [NH10W] is NOT correct because it's not what we think it is, the correct generic chassis code for these when the motor is unknown, is [AH10]. https://www.goo-net-exchange.com/catalog/TOYOTA__ALPHARD_V/ |

Thanks. I should have clarified I only added the J tag to any I commented on. These Alphard chassis codes confuse me as I haven’t studied them in depth thus far. |

You're welcome. My knowledge on Alphards (and Vellfires too) is well professional to me, since these models were commonly seen in Indonesia (my country). I'm mostly identifying/correcting car models that is sold officially or existed via grey-imports (I mostly went with common models like Alphards-Vellfires, Harriers, etc) in Indonesia. Whatever I see a typical model living in a different country that was actually existed here in Indonesia (e.g. US/CDN-spec Honda CR-V, Toyota Avanza in Mexico, Hyundai Palisade sold in any country, Mercedes or BMW sedans/SUVs, etc), I'd check them. Indonesian film were very obvious to me, doesn't need any introduction. Alphards (and Vellfires) were one of them, although official ID/RI-specs appeared starting with the facelifted second gen, but a handful of JDM-only first gens were commonly grey-imported here. Some JDM versions of second gen and third gen were also grey-imported here as well, in parallel with the official ID/RI-specs versions. |
