Leyland FG

Raul, why exactly Leyland?

It started as a Morris-Commercial FG and was also available as the Austin S200 or 404 from 1960-1968. Between 1968 and 1970 it was called BMC FG and after that Leyland FG.

If I'm correct I think the chrome LEYLAND lettering is just visible above the lower grill.

Others Austin Morris BMC mostly were smaller or badges and were positioned higher.

Possibly.
Let's keep Leyland.

I have researched all the pictures and brochures I can find and come to a conclusion based on the different grill shapes and badging for the FG trucks.

1960-1968 Morris-Commercial FG.
Vertical slits in upper grill small width lower grill.
badge with pointed ends (red).

1960-1968 edit: At the 1962 Commercial Motor Show it was advertised as the Austin FG 200 and Austin publicity brochures support this. (but Austin S200 and 404 according to Austin-Rover.co.uk)

Two groups of horizontal slits in upper grill, some with a vertical chrome trim, wider lower grill.
Rectangular Austin badge - two designs, red and chrome (I have verified the chrome badge is for Austin).

Following 1968 the Morris design was dropped in favour of the Austin design of grill but without the vertical chrome trim (with different lettering in place of badging) was used on both BMC and Leyland models. The horizontal chrome or painted dividing strip used in the lower grill area appears to have no logic to it yet but perhaps in time it will. Also preserved vehicles sometimes use later design features than were used originally.

Thanks for the research!

It seems that the Morris style grille was discontinued even before the name was dropped:

Thanks Alexander. So that makes the grill change date after 1965 and before 1967.

You are right, I forgot about these:

Do you know if these were built under licence, CKD kits, or just badge engineered?
