This Ferrari helps Fichte deduct an important clue:
He says he's seen "exactly such a Ferrari in one of the suspect's apartments" despite the fact that that was an F40 and the one in his hands is a 348. :D

I think the 348 in his hands is made by Bburago. IIRC, I had one of those, too.

It was the other way around with me, I had and probably still have the Bburago F40. I also had a 348 - I think it was made by MCToys?

Had BBurago's 348 in 1:24 - it didn't have pop-up headlamps, in 1:18 I bet it didn't have them too (don't remember any 1990s BBuragos with such "extras").

@Weasel1984: My memory might deceive me, but I think my 1:18 348 had pop-up lights. Maybe I'm wrong about it being a BBurago as it could've been a Maisto as well. After all, it's 25 years or so ago. But I wouldn't be surprised if they all still exist, somewhere hidden in a box deep in the bowels of the cellar of my parents' house. I might visit them in September, so I hope I won't forget to take a look.
@Gamer:The F40 (also made by Bburago) I had was an assembly kit in 1:24 scale, and this one definitely didn't have pop-up headlamps. Weasel is surely right about that. Bburagos never were very detailed.

i'm not exactly in the good topic but my 1998 Mercedes SLK has a functional ( manual, of course ) folding top so i wouldn't be surprise that Maisto did some little surprises on some other models

@cl82: My F40 was not a kit, this was the one I had/have: Link to "www.flickr.com"

I definitely had a 1/18 348 with pop up lights. If I remember correctly they were operated by a small lever on the bottom (you can see it, in front of the wheel in the thumb). Don't think it was by either Burago or Maisto though. Maybe a less known maker?

Mira did a 1/18 348 with pop-up headlights : http://www.modelly.com/modelcars/members/ernie/mira/ferrari-348-ts-c15/

Do we include model cars on IMCDb?

If it plays a prominent role yes, hence why I asked for it to be included.
