Besides the L.A.P.D. purchased the St.Regis twice in 1979-1980 and the Diplomat in 1982. After seeing the poor peformance of the Chryslers, they stuck with Chevy Impalas and Caprices and Ford Crown Vics.

They never purchased any diplomats/gran furys at all throughout the eighties. So diplomat/gran fury, or R-body st. regis that you see you can immediately know that those are movie cars, just like the one pictured above.
